Today I am sharing one of my last summer makes - the Nehalem Pants by Sew House Seven (based off Fisherman Pants) and a Catarina Cami by Seamwork Magazine. Both made from linen. The sky blue linen is from Harolds Warehouse Fabric, and the golden mustard linen (my favourite colour at the moment!) is from The Fabric Store...
The Catarina cami is a pattern hack from a dress pattern - it makes a really nice simple summer top! The straps are a tiny bit fiddly to make, but no big deal, and can be slightly more difficult to wear since you'd see any bra straps that were on show. I've not worn one for these photos... but I'd probably not go out like this!
I LOVE love love these Nehalem pants! Oh my gosh - so amazing to wear, comfortable, lightweight, practical, versatile to wear and I think stylish too? They were also incredibly easy and straight forward to make. Easily one of my favourite patterns this year! The only change I made was to widen the ties slightly to make them more comfortable to wear. Warning though: they do look a lot like clown pants when they are off the hanger! :)
Photobomb below.. I've shown the two ways you can wear them. My personal favourite is the paper bag waist style I've shown first.
Or you can fold them down, and create a bit of interest with a contrast colour inside!
Thanks for visiting! I'd love to see any version you guys have made of the Nehalem Pants so send me a link if you've blogged any!
Next up I'll be writing about my winter wardrobe plans... I'm very excited!! :)
