The changes I made were small but made a big difference in fit and comfort - I made the waist band at least 2x as wide as indicated on the pattern. I found the waist of the first pair cut into me, and left a strange 'double tum' - which is not ideal!
I also made the same crotch adjustments as I did in the first pair straight away - and I made them a little looser which seems to sit much better. I used the same 'moji pants' inspired pockets and I also cropped them just a little to be more summery as per the first pair I made.
See below how the simple waist band alteration:
Then simply place this over your front & back pattern pieces and cut off any excess - and its ready to go! This step really helps to make a comfortable pair of pants.
The fabric is a beautiful cotton spandex mix from the Chalky Digits fabric sale - and I love the very summery brick colour too! For more about Chalky Digits click through here. Always love small businesses with locally made products!
We snapped these photos in Moeraki on a road trip on the way back from our friends wedding in Dunedin this weekend. Moeraki is somewhere I've never really explored before, and I was surprised at what a beautiful little bay it is. I would definitely go back!
We had lunch at the most amazing fresh fish restaurant - Fleurs Place, and sat on the balcony looking out to the boats and harbour.. and even spotted some dolphins & seals hanging out. Highly recommend if you are near - yum!
Afterwards we visited the beach and explored the boulders.. how beautiful is this place?
I know I will get a lot of use out of these new editions.. and I haven't finished with this pattern yet! I'll be sharing more soon.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!
