Hi there! Today I am sharing my Moji shorts pattern hack with you! I've taken my time to write about these because I wanted to wear them and see which length I was most comfortable with - and if I'm honest I've hemmed these THREE times! ;)
This is a pretty simple pattern hack! All I did was to flare out the legs slightly, and cut short and on a slight angle (being ever so slightly longer on the inner thigh stops it looking like its riding up when you walk). I made an elastic waist band as per my last pair of Moji Pants you can see here. I also added some little contrast tabs on the outer side of each seam - see what I've done below:
(please note: the base images below are both by Seamwork, illustrated over top by Salt&Stitch)
See .. easy! :) Took these photos by the river near my house.. not a bad place for an after work walk!
The contrast fabric is from the skirt DIY I did a couple of weeks ago - I had some left over and since I love stripes thought it might make a nice little detail on these!
Already I have plans for making more of these.. perhaps with slightly wider legs, and with a cuff! I recon this pattern should fit all the remnant pieces of linen and denim I've been collecting from The Fabric Store.. perfect summer shorts!
Thanks for visiting!
