Hey there! I've been away for a few days, taking a break at the bach! For those of you not from NZ the 'bach' is what we call a holiday house, and its usually pretty simple, possibly by the sea (like ours) and somewhere where all the family can squeeze into during the holidays.. ! I was all by myself this week though, with my dog June and my sewing machines! I did take the surfboard too.. but unfortunately it didn't quite make it to the sea!
Here's a wee picture-thon (i know that's not a word.. but I'm going to use it anyway) of my long weekend..
All the important things packed.. salty sea dog, surfboard, sewing machines & food.. ;) and some of my most worn me made & thrifted clothing and shoes.. (i actually neglected to bring a rain jacket.. duh - always bring a rain jacket!!)
My sewing station - the kitchen table ;) Handy to a lot of snacks.. which is perfect! (also shh. don't tell my parents about the dog on the couch.. )
View from the window, and a good book for sewing breaks - I read two in two days! whoops.
I also got the chance to do a little training for the half marathon coming up - running up the hill to check on the surf on the other side (not much surf in our little bay.. but plenty usually over the hill) sadly the surf didn't look amazing and it rained on the second day.. but plenty of time for this over summer! Looking forward to lots of sunny surf days!
Pretty ceramics we find washed up on the beach caught amongst the stones and weathered by the ocean.. a favourite thing to collect.
Dog in the rain.. ! But still eagerly awaiting for me to throw the ball.. there is no stopping that dog!
And at the end of the holiday I have two pairs of Moji pants and a pair of Moji shorts! ;) Whoop! I'll write about these soon.. watch this space.
Hope your sewing week has been productive too! ;)
